Safety Engineer Required in Neom

Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive Safety Engineer to join our NEOM projects team and ensure all operations adhere to best?in?class health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The successful candidate will develop and implement NEOM?aligned safety programs, conduct regular site inspections, and champion a culture of safety across multidisciplinary worksites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with NEOM regulations, Saudi requirements, and international standards.
• Perform risk assessments, job?safety analyses, and hazard identifications for all project phases.
• Conduct routine site inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Investigate incidents and near?misses, draft detailed reports, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and induction programs for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Liaise with NEOM’s HSE authorities and ensure all permits, certifications, and safety documentation are current.
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and on?site crisis management.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer or HSE Officer within large?scale construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and NEOM’s evolving safety frameworks, plus familiarity with international standards (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001).
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, with proven ability to perform thorough risk assessments and follow?up on corrective actions.
• Strong communication and report?writing skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work independently on a fast?paced site, make sound decisions under pressure, and lead safety meetings.
• Diploma or degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
