Sea Port – Firefighting Sector, based in Egypt, is announcing the hiring of a Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
*Job Description:
· We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in firefighting pumps to join our team in Egypt. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, installation, and maintenance of firefighting pump systems, ensuring safety and reliability for our clients.
*Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, install, and maintain firefighting pump systems according to industry standards and client specifications.
2. Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting pumps to ensure optimal functionality.
3. Troubleshoot and repair pump-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
4. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide technical expertise during the design and installation of firefighting systems.
5. Prepare detailed engineering reports, including recommendations for system improvements.
6. Ensure all projects comply with local safety regulations, codes, and standards.
7. Provide technical training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of firefighting pumps.
8. Monitor the performance of installed systems and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency and safety.
*Job Requirements
· Experience & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of firefighting pumps.
3. Strong understanding of firefighting systems, hydraulic principles, and pump technology.
4. Proficient in AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
5. Familiar with local safety regulations and international standards related to firefighting systems.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and cross-functional teams.
