We’re hiring Network Operation Center Level 1 Transmission Engineer.
– Proactive Surveillance & Monitoring: Handle events/alarms reported by operation & maintenance systems by triaging it, investigating it, identifying alarm cause, treating the cause and clearing the alarms.
– Incident Management: reduce the risk of incidents on the network service by performing triage, categorization, providing a temporary fix to restore the service when possible, investigating the incident, identifying the known error, implementing the fix and providing a root cause analysis for every incident.
– Change Management: reduce the risk of changes on the network service by performing change categorization, risk review, implementation plan, roll-back plan, peer review, CAB approval when needed, and handing over the change to release management.
– Release Management: reduce the risk of released on the network service by performing categorization, implementation of change, testing the change functionality, rolling back the change according to plan if it caused a service outage or did not work properly, and providing in both successful & unsuccessful releases a post implementation review report.
– Communicate using various tools with NOC Level 1 engineers, customers, partners, technology vendors, and contractors.
– Ensure incident, problem, change & release tasks are completed within the service level agreements signed with the customer,
– Provide status update as per SLA within all tasks (incident, problem, change & release) until its closure.
– Perform all tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
– Engineering (5 years) degree in computer, communication, electronics or mechatronics, science or commerce (4 years) degree in computer, business or management information systems.
– At least 1 years of experience in the relevant discipline: Transmission, core network, access network or VAS.
– At least 2 years of overall experience in the ICT industry,
– At least one network product first level certificate from the following: CCNA-Routing & Switching, JNCIA-Routing & Switching, ACNA, Network+ or equivalent.
– A minimum of 1 month internship or hands-on training.
– Fluency in Arabic & English is a must (Reading, Writing, speaking & listening).
